DBRS weighs in on two Canadian projects linked with Carillion
The first official response to the news that British-based Carillon plc has been placed in liquidation has been made in Canada.
This week DBRS Ltd. issued reports on two Canadian public private partnerships associated with Carillon. The first related to Hospital Infrastructure Partners, a consortium which, in mid-2011, was awarded, a contract with Halton Healthcare Services “to design, build, finance and maintain” the New Oakville Hospital. The facilities management part of that $1.5 billion contract was given to Carillion Canada Inc., and EllisDon Corporation. Carillion Private Finance Ltd., was also one of the equity investors in the project.
